So many debts lie behind the writing of this book that I will only single out a few for particular mention.
This project began as a way to help my church members memorize Bible verses in an organized way. The idea struck me when I was thinking about the Ten Commandments. They are easy to structure—there are ten of them. I thought, if I could break each commandment into three sections and assign five verses to each section, we could memorize 150 verses. Adding the Ten Commandments themselves would make it 160 verses.
I prayed about it, started working on it, and shared it with my church. The members were eager to learn and actually memorized the verses. I'm grateful to Pastors Raja and Edward for allowing me to preach monthly on one commandment and about 15 verses for each one.
I'm also thankful to my family—my wife and two boys. We would meditate on these verses during our daily family Bible study time. I shared my thoughts, and they shared theirs, asking questions that helped refine the list.
I also sought feedback from some of my Karunya Penta Batch prayer members. They spent hours reading through the pages and provided valuable comments, pointing out unclear or potentially controversial parts. Their input helped improve the text.
Above all, I'm thankful to the Lord for His salvation and for revealing Himself through His Word. I believe that understanding God's Word and living by it improves our well-being. As the Bible says, "As your soul prospers, you will be prosperous in everything." I've experienced this truth myself, and this project is my attempt to share that testimony with others.
